If you are like me when I first started, you don't have any funds to purchase any type of advertising. I had already spent all my money on fluff filled programs and a failed PPC campaign that had been suggested by one of the fluff programs. I needed to be able to advertise and I needed it to be free. I started searching for different ways and found that there are plenty.
I am specifically addressing "email marketing" here because I have discovered that even though you have everything in place for sales, you won't get any sales if some one is not visiting your site. By sending emails you are giving that prospective customer a preview of what to expect if they should decide to click on your link.
I feel that there are 3 major components that go into a good email campaign.
1. Your professionalism
2. Your ability to excite and compel a person to find out more
3. Your product or service being offered.
I put 'your product' last because if you are unprofessional and not able to get the reader excited about it, it doesn't matter what you are offering. No one is going to want it.
Now you ask, how can run a profitable email campaign without spending a lot of money?
I am glad you asked that question...
First things first: make a plan, make a plan, make a plan! Know what you want to accomplish and how you are going to get there.
Second, learn how to compose a compelling email for free.
Third, join some safe list groups for free. (If you have the funds to upgrade your memberships, it would be to your benefit, but do not feel obligated to do so. If you have learned how to excite a person, then you will get them to your site.)
I don't want you to think that is all you have to do and you will be successful. I am not saying that at all. The folks who are successful worked long and hard to make it up the mountain. By taking the time to learn about the path, you have already done more than the average wannabe Internet entrepreneur.
Keep it up!
Each failure is a lesson learned, were you paying attention?
